Lawrence Transit staff joins the Lawrence Public Library this week to provide a special “Take Me for A Ride Storytime.” This collaboration between the library and the transit system features stories, crafts, and a real trip on the bus.
Storytime includes books about transportation, followed by a bus-themed craft project. Children and their families are invited to board a Lawrence Transit bus for a short trip around downtown. The featured vehicle will be one of the city’s 100% electric buses.
- When: Friday, Nov. 7
- Time: Storytime begins at 10:30 a.m. Groups will take turns completing the craft project and boarding the bus for a trip around downtown.
- Where: Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vermont St. Storytime will be held in the auditorium.
“This event has been a wonderful way to connect with kids and families and share the fun of public transit for over 10 years!” said Felice Lavergne, Director of Transit. “We love seeing young people get excited about the bus. Events like this inspire future riders and celebrate the important role transit plays in keeping our community connected.”
